How to upload beats from FL Studio to YouTube and BeatStars

The manual way takes a dozen steps across three websites. With the ScheduleBeats VST3 plugin, an FL Studio export becomes a scheduled BeatStars upload, a YouTube video and a Short.

Updated: · ScheduleBeats

Short answer

To upload a beat from FL Studio to YouTube and BeatStars, put the ScheduleBeats VST3 plugin in the last slot of the FL Studio Master track, link your ScheduleBeats account once, then export as usual (File > Export, WAV or MP3). The plugin captures the render, reads the title and BPM from the project name, lets you add the type beat artists, collaborators and a cover, picks the next free slot of your calendar, and on Publish schedules the beat on BeatStars and YouTube, plus a YouTube Short.

Key facts

  • Format: VST3 plugin for FL Studio, macOS 10.15+ (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows. Version: 0.6.1.
  • Works with a normal FL Studio export: WAV, MP3 or both.
  • Publishes to BeatStars and YouTube at the same scheduled time; a YouTube Short follows.
  • Title and BPM are read from the FL Studio project name; saved collaborators written as @handles are filled in. The type beat artists are never pre-filled: you enter them (required).
  • Cover: no automatic cover. Pick one from Google Images, your own JPG/PNG or AI generation, then one of 5 filters (Original, B&W, Noir, Radiant, Sunset).
  • Requires a ScheduleBeats account and BeatStars and/or YouTube connected.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Install the plugin

Download ScheduleBeats for Mac or Windows and copy ScheduleBeats.vst3 into your VST3 folder, then rescan plugins in FL Studio (Options > Manage plugins > Find more plugins).

  2. 2

    Put it on the Master

Load ScheduleBeats in the last effect slot of the Master mixer track, so it hears exactly what you export.

  3. 3

    Link your account

Open the plugin, click "Link my account" and approve the code at schedulebeats.com/link. You only do this once.

  4. 4

    Export as usual

File > Export, WAV or MP3 (or both). The plugin captures the render, whatever the format.

  5. 5

    Check the recap

Title, BPM and the next free slot are filled in. Add the type beat artists (required), choose a cover and your collaborators, change the slot with ‹ › if needed.

  6. 6

    Publish

One click. The beat is sent to BeatStars and YouTube for the chosen date; the final screen shows the cover and the BeatStars, YouTube and Short links (the Short link appears a few minutes later). Keep FL Studio open while the YouTube video renders (about 1–3 min).

Name your FL Studio project so everything is detected

The plugin reads the project name. Put the BPM, the title and @handles in it — any order, dashes or spaces.

140 - fortune - @your_tagTitle "Fortune", 140 BPM, your own tag removed
145 Chemistry - @your_tag @collabTitle "Chemistry", 145 BPM, collaborator added
Midnight w/ citrex 128Title "Midnight", 128 BPM, collaborator "citrex"
Drake x Future - Chemistry 145Title "Chemistry", 145 BPM (recommended format; the type beat artists are entered in the recap)
  • Collaborators must be saved in your ScheduleBeats account: a BeatStars collab needs a real BeatStars account. Unknown @handles are shown, never added automatically: a Save button adds them to your account from the plugin.
  • Small typos in a saved handle are tolerated.
  • The type beat artists are never pre-filled from the name: you type them in the recap, the field is required.
  • If FL Studio reports a tempo, the host BPM wins over the one in the name.

Export settings that work

WAV or MP3

Both work. WAV keeps full quality for BeatStars; you can tick both formats in FL Studio, the plugin captures the render once.

Leave a little headroom

If the mix goes over 0 dBFS, the plugin brings the peak down to -0.3 dBFS instead of sending a clipped file. Better: master with true peak under 0 dB.

Length and size

No length limit in the plugin; uploads are limited to 300 MB, about 19 minutes of 24-bit / 44.1 kHz stereo WAV.

FAQ

Can I upload directly from FL Studio to YouTube?

FL Studio has no built-in YouTube upload. With the ScheduleBeats VST3 plugin on the Master, an FL Studio export is turned into a YouTube video and scheduled on your channel, together with BeatStars.

Can I upload directly from FL Studio to BeatStars?

Yes, through the ScheduleBeats plugin: after File > Export, the recap screen lets you publish the beat to BeatStars with title, BPM, collaborators and the cover you choose, at the release time of the selected slot.

Do I need to change how I export?

No. Use File > Export in WAV or MP3 (or both) as usual. The plugin captures what plays through the Master during the export.

Does it work with MP3 exports?

Yes. The plugin records the render itself, so the format you pick in FL Studio does not matter.

Does it work in other DAWs?

It is built for FL Studio and only tested there. Other DAWs are not supported.

Does it publish right away?

It schedules. The beat goes to BeatStars and YouTube for the date and time of the slot you pick in the recap (the next free one by default).

Is it free?

The plugin requires a ScheduleBeats account; your plan's weekly beat limit applies, the same as on the website.

Your next export could already be scheduled.

Download the plugin, link your account, export.
