Requires a ScheduleBeats account

Requirements

  • macOS 10.15 or later (Apple Silicon or Intel)
  • FL Studio (tested in FL Studio 20)
  • A ScheduleBeats account with BeatStars and/or YouTube connected
  • An admin password (to copy into the system plugin folder)

Install step by step

FL Studio on Mac scans the system VST3 folder: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/.

  1. 1

    Download and unzip

Download the zip and double-click it. You get ScheduleBeats.vst3.

  2. 2

Copy it to the system VST3 folder

In Finder, press Cmd + Shift + G, paste the path below, and drag ScheduleBeats.vst3 into it. macOS asks for your admin password.

    /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
  3. 3

    Allow it (Gatekeeper)

The plugin is not notarized by Apple yet. Open Terminal and run this command once, then enter your password:

    sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ScheduleBeats.vst3
  4. 4

    Scan in FL Studio

Open FL Studio, then Options > Manage plugins > Find more plugins.

  5. 5

    Put it on the Master

Open the Mixer, select the Master track and load ScheduleBeats in the last slot.

  6. 6

    Link your account

Open the plugin, click "Link my account" and approve the code at schedulebeats.com/link. Then export as usual (File > Export, WAV or MP3).

Yes, it is safe. The warning only means the Mac build is not notarized by Apple yet (Apple's paid signing program). It is not a virus alert. The plugin only sends the beats you export to your own ScheduleBeats account. To allow it, run one Terminal command, shown on the Mac download page.

Check your version

The version is shown at the top right of the plugin window (for example v0.6.1). The current version is listed on this page.

Update the plugin

When a new version is out, the plugin shows "Update to vX" and opens this page. Download the new zip, replace ScheduleBeats.vst3 in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/, run the xattr command from step 3 again and restart FL Studio. Your account stays linked.

Troubleshooting

FL Studio does not find ScheduleBeats

Check that ScheduleBeats.vst3 is in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ (the system folder, not the one in your user Library), then run Options > Manage plugins > Find more plugins again.

macOS says the plugin "can't be opened" or is damaged

It is Gatekeeper blocking a non-notarized plugin. Run the xattr command from step 3 in Terminal, then restart FL Studio and scan again.

Is the plugin safe?

Yes. macOS warns because the build is not notarized by Apple yet (Apple's paid signing program), not because something is wrong with it. The plugin only sends the beats you export to your own ScheduleBeats account.

The recap does not appear after my export

Make sure ScheduleBeats is in the last slot of the Master track and enabled, then export again with File > Export.

Publish is greyed out

Connect BeatStars or YouTube in your ScheduleBeats account settings. Publish stays blocked until at least one is connected.

Uninstall

Delete ScheduleBeats.vst3 from /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ and rescan in FL Studio.
